Answer: At the budget meeting held on 26 February 2014, the Isle of Wight Council was faced with a number of difficult decision in order to balance its budget.

One of the measures agreed by members was to withdraw support for free swimming for island children during school holidays.

This decision takes immediate effect.

Answer: The health suite is open from 8am to 9pm Monday to Friday and from 8am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Answer: Main pools : One adult can be responsible for 2 children aged 4 to 7 years old or 1 child under 4 years old.
Small pools : One adult can be responsible for 3 children aged 4 to 7 years old or 2 children under 8 where 1 or more is under 4 years old.

Answer: There's a wide and varied range of fitness classes at the Heights Leisure Centre in Sandown (Tel 405594) and Medina Leisure Centre (tel 523767) in Newport.

Classes are designed for all levels of ability, ranging from gentle exercises, through to advanced fitness workouts for those looking for a full workout regime.

At The Heights Leisure Centre, there are now three activity studios (one dedicated for spinning classes only) and there is a new programme of fitness classes throughout the week. Classes include Zumba, Bokwa, Bodysculpt, abs and back core conditioning, as well as cardio fitness and Kettlebell. .

Phase 1 of the upgrading project at Medina Leisure Centre includes a brand-new first floor activity studio, plus a ground floor studio in the former small gym. There’s a new and extended programme of classes for both studios. - Related Link

Answer: You need to report the loss to the centre that you use, they can issue you a replacement card at the cost of £2.50. If you are a direct debit customer then you will need to complete a new mandate.

Question: Can I pay for my One card by direct debit?

Answer: Yes you can pay by direct debit. The direct debit run is on or around the 1st and the 15th of the month. When you initially apply for your card you will have to pay an interim payment that covers you up to the first direct debit payment. This payment ranges from a minimum 2 weeks payment to a maximim of 1 months payment depending on the date you apply for your card. - Related Link
