Encaustic Art (Hot Wax Pictures) - Thursday 6th November 10am - 3pm

An Adult and Community Learning Course.  Melt fantastic wax colours on a low heat iron and enter a world of wonder and creativity. Learn how to create sky, mountains, trees and foliage and produce your own unique and colourful pictures.

Supporters of Cowes Library Group AGM and talk - Monday 10th November 6.30pm - 8.15pm

The AGM will be held at the Library followed by a talk at 7pm by Richard Smout the Isle of Wight Heritage Service Manager, on Cowes and World War 1.

Everyone welcome for an informative and intersting evening. Refreshments will be available. 

Cowes Library Christmas Arts & Crafts Fair -  Saturday 29th November 10am - 4pm

This is a community event held in the Library with a wide variety of art and craft work. There will also be lots of fun activities for children including Christmas crafts, face painting, lucky dip and Huxley the Magic Man will be showing his tricks from 2pm onwards. Cakes and refreshments will be available.

Decade of Change 1910 to 1920 Exhibition

Cowes Heritage Group currently has part of their 'Decade of Change' exhibition in the Library and will be constantly changing throughout the year showing information about the Great War and other factors during this momentous decade, which meant life in Cowes, Northwood and Gurnard would never be the same. The exhibition can be seen during normal opening hours.
