Can I get a grant for disabled adaptations to my home?
Legislation requires an assessment to be made by an Occupational Therapist before a referral can be made to us for a Disabled Facilities Grant. Contact the Social Services reception at 147 High Street Newport on 823340 for a self assessment referal pack to be sent.

Can I get a grant for repairs to my property?
Budget has been made available for this financial year 2008/9, and we require any enquirers to contact us again in one month while the the process and policy is resolved. For Info: Owner occupiers are likely to be required to be on an income related benefit, and lived in property for 5 years to be eligible. Grant will be available to carry out minor repairs to owner-occupied properties where the eligibility criteria is met to ensure the property has the basic ameneties and is free from serious hazards.
