FAQ’s - Financial Assessment

Service Description: If we arrange services for you we will work out whether you are able to pay our charges. This is called a financial assessment, and a Visiting Finance Officer will contact you to collect information about your income and savings.

You may have a member of your family or a friend present at the time of the financial assessment if you wish. Any information given will be treated in the strictest confidence.

The Visiting Finance Officer will usually complete the form but if you would prefer you may complete the form yourself with the assistance of the Officer.

If you do not wish to disclose your financial information you will be asked to sign the part on the front section of the form agreeing to pay the full cost charge.

Our staff will be happy to answer any questions and explain the council’s charging policy if there is anything that you do not understand.

All of our staff carry identification cards with them so please check this before allowing anyone into your home.
