Service Description: If You or Your Carers Need a Break from Coping at Home. Many residential homes offer short periods of respite care. It can be difficult caring for someone who needs a lot of attention and also frustrating being so dependent on others. We find it can help everyone to have a break.

Many homes also offer day care for those who find it difficult to cope alone but are able to return to their own homes at night. Even for the seriously ill or frail, services are available which can give vital relief to carers, for example a Night Sitting Service.There may be a charge for these services, but not for a Care Manager's visit and assessment of your needs.
