The Children and Young People’s Plan

We have listened to what the Children and Young People have said about what it is like living on the Isle of Wight, what is good and what is not so good about the services we provide and what we need to change.

Our priorities based on what you have said and what we know are to:

  • Raise your educational achievement.
  • Improve your general health and mental well-being (by reducing bullying, alcohol and substance misuse).
  • Increase support and employability for those of you aged 14 to 19.
  • Help more of you to get involved in things to do in your community.
  • Develop more support for your parents, carers and families.

The Children and Young People’s plan is our response and pledge to the Children and Young People of the Isle of Wight to make these improvements happen. We will continue working with you, to plan and evaluate these changes whilst continuing to provide services that you and your families need
