Children's Rights and Participation Officer![]() Jane Davidson is the Children's Rights and Participation Officer. She began working for the Isle of Wight Council on 1st October 2003. She is based within the Quality Assurance Team in the Social Services Directorate at the Children’s Service Centre. WHAT DOES JANE DO?She is here to help children and young people who are looked after to take part in making decisions about their lives. She can do this by offering support to individual children and young people or by finding them someone to give them support. JANE’S INITIAL TARGETS ARE TO:
WHY DOES JANE DO THIS?The law says that children and young people who are looked after must be asked what they think about the care they receive and that they should help to make the plans for their future.
