Confidentiality  


All the information given to Children Service staff is treated as confidential and is only passed on with your child’s (according to age and their understanding) agreement except if a child is at risk or where illegal acts have been disclosed.

Information is stored on the Directorate’s central computer system and on your and your child’s personal file, only authorized staff have access to these records. Anyone whose personal details are recorded can ask to see them.

Complaints  


If you feel unhappy with the services you are receiving then please either;
  • Talk to the person in Children’s Services you normally deal with
  • Write or talk to their manager
  • Write to the Head of Children’s Services at County Hall, Newport.
  • Contact the Customer Support Team, based at Floor 1, County Hall, Newport. Tel: (01983) 823092, fax is 823094.
