Who can get help and how?If You’re Worried about a Child.Children’s Services provides advice to all families who request it. You can obtain this advice by visiting or phoning the Children’s Service Centre, Atkinson Drive, Newport, Isle of Wight 01983 525790 where you will be put in touch with a member of the Duty Team – the central team that handles all initial enquires. The Children’s Service Centre is open; Monday to Thursday 8.45am – 5.00pm Friday 8.45am – 4.30pm What happens?
Where else can you get help?HealthGP’s, Health Visitors, Paediatric Services, other specialists EducationSchools, Education Welfare Service, Behaviour Support, SEN Multi-disciplinary Team Voluntary Organisation and Support GroupsOther help may be available on the Island from a variety of voluntary organizations. Contact the Family Information Zone (FIZ) for more details on 01983 821999. Outside of Office Hours in EmergenciesWhen our offices are closed, during evenings, weekends and bank holidays we can still be contacted if there is an emergency PHONE WIGHTCARE ON 01983 821105Your details will be passed on to an Officer who will offer advice over the phone or call out a visiting duty social worker to offer support or organize services, if necessary, until continuing support is available during normal office hours.
