Choices Year 9
ChoicesYr9(22)differentformat01
You will have the chance in Year 9 to choose your subject options for KS4. You do not need to map out your whole life at this stage, but it gives you the opportunity to give some real thought to what you might want to do.
Take the chance to speak with friends, family, teachers and your Connexions Careers Adviser about all options before making your final decision. Also, try to keep a balance with your choice of subjects so that as many options as possible are open to you as your abilities and strengths develop.
The Education Reforms for 14-19 year olds that began to be introduced from September 2008 mean that from the age of 14 you can choose from a range of qualifications. Each school/college has varying offers outside of the conventional GCSE route however in some cases they will work together in collaboration to meet your needs. This is dependent on the establishment that you attend so speak to Your Careers Adviser for more information.
