LEARN TO SAIL Yaverland Sailing and Boating Club runs sailing training during the Spring, Summer and into the Autumn for anyone wishing to learn to sail. Training is done using a dedicated fleet of 6 Laser Picos and if that is not exciting enough we also train using a catamaran. As well as having our own training boats, we also have wetsuits and buoyancy aids so you don't even need to buy any equipment to start learning to sail - you don't even need to be a member (although we do hope you'll join once you catch the "sailing bug"). If you would like to donate any sailing equipment for the beginners to use we'd love to hear from you.

Training starts at 10 am on Saturday morning, the first lesson is free and after that its only £2.50 per session. When the beginners are sailing there is always at least one safety boat close by to help and when conditions are not suitable for sailing we have a range of other activities including our very own club-built Land yacht. So no matter what the weather there will always be something to do. So why not come down on a Saturday morning and experience the thrill of sailing in Sandown Bay. For more details visit our website on www.ysbc.co.uk or ring Tim on 856177.
