Winter Maintenance is an important part of our work and approximately £380,000 is spent each year on roads affected by snow, ice and drainage problems. This involves salting major roads and key commuter router where there is a risk of ice, clearing snow, reacting to floods and maintaining the highway drainage systems. We will, within the available resources, provide as safe a passage as possible for users of the highway.
