Recycling Your Waste

W-Recycling-Home00

The Isle of Wight Council is responsible for the collection, recycling and disposal of household waste from residents of the Island. Through recycling, composting and the Resource Recovery Facility, approximately half of the Islands domestic waste is diverted from landfill. This is a fantastic achievement which could not be reached without the enthusiasm and commitment of the Island residents. It is important that we continue to build on this success if the Island is to achieve the statutory government targets and to create a cleaner, greener Island.

It is our priority to help you to reduce, reuse, recycle and compost all that you can. As part of the Integrated Waste Management Contract a number options are provided to enable people to take part. You will find details of all of these schemes on these pages.
