The countdown is on to enter the
ever-popular Wight in Bloom
annual gardening competition.
Enthusiasts across the island
have their chance to win prizes
and brighten up their
communities as yet again Wight
in Bloom 2011 gets underway
with something for gardeners of
every age. Entry is free, so why
not roll up your sleeves and give
it a go?

The council would once again like
to thank Wightlink for there
continued sponsorship and
support for a very popular
competition, which provides
colour and enjoyment to residents
and tourists all over the island.


Once again Wight in Bloom is set to take place in 2011 and the categories are as follows:-

  1. Best Front Garden over 3m
  1. Best Small Garden/Frontage/balcony under 3m
  1. Best Cottage Garden
  1. Best Large Public House /Hotel/Guest House/Restaurant/Businesses
  1. Best Small Public House/Hotel/Guest House/Restaurant/Businesses
  1. Best Senior Citizen Complex/Nursing Home/Care Home
  1. Best Initiative Involving Young People
  1. Best Community Project

The closing date for entries is Tuesday 7th June 2011.
