Scrapstore

A new Island scrapstore is opening soon and is on the look out for unwanted “scrap” materials of all different shapes, sizes and colours.

All across the Island, artists, community groups and crafty individuals are giving new life to materials destined for the tip – and they need your help!

If your business generates clean, non-hazardous scrap materials that you think might be of use please get in touch with the Carnival Learning Centre by emailing Christine Groves or tel: 01983 817280.

We will ask for the following details:
  • Name
  • Company
  • Contact number / email
  • Brief description of your scrap, quantity, frequency of supply.

See below for a list of the types of materials that are of use to us but you may have something we haven’t thought of so please get in touch!

Other useful items

This is by no means a definitive list; we may do callouts for other items in the future. If you have something not listed that you think may be able to be used in an arts and crafts setting please get in touch.

N.B. We only have a small store at the moment so won’t be able to take all suitable items straight away. By providing this information for our database we can assess the volume of contributions we may be able to get locally and provide adequate facility for this.
