Doorstep Crime
The Isle of Wight Trading Standards Service, in partnership with other agencies, is supporting Parish and Town Councils to create No Cold Calling Zones on the Island. The objective is to enable residents to look after themselves on their own doorsteps and to identify vulnerable residents who need support.

The Buy with Confidence scheme is a list of approved businesses who agree to provide a reliable and quality service.

Rogue Traders
We’ve seen them on the TV, but sadly rogue traders are operating here on the Isle of Wight. Unfortunately they see the Island as an easy target due to its high number of elderly and vulnerable residents.

The Isle of Wight Trading Standards Service recognizes that the care and protection of the environment is one of the most important issues facing society today. We take our responsibility to provide advice and guidance to business and consumers on the various environmental legislation which we enforce, very seriously.
