The Trading Standards Service has expanded its education programme to include activities suitable for all key stages.
Consumer Education is concerned with giving consumers the skills and knowledge to function confidently, effectively and responsibly when buying goods and services.
We have always provided speakers, when requested, to talk to school pupils about various aspects of work of the Service and consumer affairs.
We run an education programme called “Looking at Labels” that is delivered to Year 1 pupils. For further information about this programme or to make a booking please click here.
For Middle Schools, we can assist in a number of ways delivering various programmes. These include, the Child Safety Awareness Week (C/SAW), Assemblies and “Supermarket Sweep”. Further information about these topics can be found in this section.
