Mr David G. Williams

Welcome to My Website

David G. WilliamsAs the elected member for Shanklin North, it is my role to represent those living within the ward on the Isle of Wight Council. I live locally myself - in the town centre.

My primary function as a councillor is to act on behalf of the residents of Shanklin North. I do have additional responsibilities at the Council, in my appointed role as Policy Commissioner for Safer Communities, as well as serving on other bodies, but I remain committed to serving Shanklin people in the first instance.

I was first elected in 2001, and re-elected in 2005, serving until May 2009. I am delighted and honoured that my neighbours in the town have put their faith in me to be their representative on the Island’s authority. I am working hard to provide a strong and effective voice for all of the residents of Shanklin North, on a whole range of issues.

If you live in the Shanklin North ward, please take the opportunity to contact me, in confidence, on any matter relating to council business with which you would like assistance or advice.
