Dear Resident Please find within this page a copy of the letter being sent out to all Fairlee and District residents living within the Isle of Wight Festival area. The letter details the arrangements for traffic management etc and does list a list of very useful numbers you can contact if you have any queries. Many of you will be away that while the majority of residents do support this event the increase in numbers and the larger area being covered was a metter I raised at the recent Licence hearing. If you wish to view the papers presented to the Licence committee ( which includes my report ) and to read the details of the approval given for this year and beyond these can be found on the Isle of Wight website. It is my intention in conjunction with Newport Parish Council and the East Cowes Road residents association to hold a post Festival meeting and details will be announced shortly. Whippingham Parish Council, which also covers part of the Newport North area have also supported the representations I have made and will continue to make to ensure the voice of the residents is heard and that any problems that are encountered are rectified and a resolve sought.
