Website Availability and Statistics

The Isle of Wight Council continually monitors site usage, and availability to ensure the most reliable, and value for money service for our customers.

As well as internal monitoring iwight.com is also uses a combined monitoring, alerting and reporting service provided by Axzona.

The Axzona results are independently gathered by Axzona's geographically-dispersed monitoring agents to verify the availability and performance of our website from the most important point of view - that of our end-users.

Website Usage is monitored using the Industry standard software from ‘Webtrends’ to analyse visitor numbers and trends, popular sections of the website, monitor any errors or problems and track the use of search engines to find the website.

Information from both of these is used to improve the availability of the website, and also indicate if any changes in navigation are required, or search engine information can be improved.

The Council is committed to ensuring a high level of availability of its websites. 100% availability would be the ideal but realistically is not practical, but we do try and keep downtime to a minimum, and any maintenance that is required is done at times which are least disruptive to visitors.

Currently the average availability for the last 4 weeks is 100.00%
