Mega Wheels Classic Car Show

Mega Wheels Classic Car Show PosterTipped to be the biggest and best car show ever seen on the Isle of Wight, the first ever Mega Wheels Classic Car Show will be taking place on the weekend of the 28th and 29th April.

Get yourself along to the Garlic Festival Site in Newchurch to be blown away by what looks set to be a huge two-day gathering of vintage and classic vehicles; many of which will be provided for display by local and mainland car clubs including Jaguar, Ford, Austin, BMC, Aston Martin, Jensen, MG and not to mention individual motor enthusiasts too!

Vintage buses and lorries, steam vehicles, tractors, Island cranes, electric bikes, police cars, fire engines and even the military – everything imaginable on wheels will be present at the Mega Wheels Classic Car Show which, it is hoped, will become an established annual event and permanent fixture of the Island’s social calendar from here on in.

New and Used Car Sales

To bring a car onto the site to sell, it will cost just £20 for the entire weekend. The event is open to new and used cars, vans and campervans. Show space is understandably limited so please contact the organisers urgently on 07933 284184 for booking and invoice details.

Something for Everyone!

The event, which has been organised by the Garlic Festival Ltd in conjunction with Isle of Wight Radio, will be broadcast live across the Island’s airwaves throughout the duration of the weekend. The tank museum will also be present, as will be Harley Davidson Motor Cycles, classic motorcycles, ITS diggers, the Classic Hearse Register RS Owners Club, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Saint Volvo, Rolls Royce and Daimler. Further to this there will be sideshows and an autojumble taking place, plus Westridge Golf Centre will be running a Golf Challenge.

A Classic Hearse (Image source: www.autogallery.org.ru)Admission to the event, which is supported by Southern Vectis and the IOW Bus Museum, will be just £5 for adults and £2 for children. Cruise the Wight

In addition to the now well-established Walk the Wight, Cycle the Wight and Sail the Wight, ‘Cruise the Wight’ will see a host of classic cars take to the Island’s roads to raise money for the hospice. Make sure you sign up over the weekend of the 28th and 29th April to take part!
