Really Wild Fridays

Click here to learn more about Really Wild FridaysRobin Hill Country Park is hosting a special nature event every Friday throughout August in conjunction with the Island 2000 Trust and is sure to be a great hit with the parks visitors.

Really Wild Fridays as the days are being called will be the first of their kind at the Island’s largest tourist attraction. Park Manager Darren Cool said; “Robin Hill has such a terrific mix of countryside that makes it perfect for nature events. We have downland, meadows, ponds and woodland all teaming with wildlife, plants and trees that will be great to explore with our friendly experts from the Island 2000 Trust.

Robin Hill Country Park will be hosting the series of Really Wild Friday events"Visitors can come along and just join in the activities as part of the Robin Hill experience and hopefully learn so much more about our local nature in a fun and hands-on way. There is also an undercover stage where nature art activities take place all through the Fridays, where visitors can take part in making giant nature paintings or kites to fly in the Robin Hill field from recycled materials.

"The park has recently joined the Green Island Tourism scheme and is making a big effort to increase its already green credentials. The Really Wild Fridays will aid this effort by increasing nature and environmental awareness to our thousands of visitors”.

Really Wild Fridays are taking place in conjunction with the Island 2000 TrustRobin Hill is open every day during the school summer holidays from 10am to 6pm,with the Really Wild Friday activities starting at 10.30am from Friday 1st August, which are included free with the parks standard admission fees. Visit the Robin Hill website for more details (www.robin-hill.com) where Islanders can also download a voucher to extend the parks standard free return visit from 7 days to 14 days, which should really make a visit attractive in a year where we are all looking for the pennies to stretch further.

Full details are included within the following Really Wild Fridays itinerary document.
