Management Committees

There has been positive progress towards the full emparishment of the Island, with all five areas currently unparished - Ryde, Newport, Whippingham, Northwood and Carisbrooke all actively pursuing the establishment of a parish council.

In the interim ‘shadow’ councils, in the form of management committees, have been set up. The committees comprise local ward councillors and interested individuals who have gone through a recruitment process. The committees will be advisory to the Isle of Wight Council and will be run on similar lines to parish councils. All meetings will be open to the public and agendas and minutes can be found below.
