  • Home to Education Transport Policy 2013
    The council has carried out its annual review of the Home to Education Transport Policy and the amended version, which will apply from September 2013, has now been published for consultation.

    The method of allocation of free transport to primary school aged children has been amended to reflect the 2013 primary school coordinated admissions policy. This will allocate school places based on the distance between the child’s home address and their nearest school. In all other aspects, the policy remains unchanged from that published for 2012.

    Comments on the draft 2013 policy can be submitted by email to Education.Transport@iow.gov.uk or in writing to Business Support, Schools and Learning Division, Isle of Wight Council, County Hall, Newport, PO30 1UD by 6 July 2012.
