Cowes
award beach is situated to the west of Cowes Town Centre and is easily accessible
by car, foot or local transport. This location is ideal for family swimming
and viewing the activities of the Solent. Cowes is famous for its yachting
and a grandstand for all that makes a good seaside holiday. During the summer
season Cowes is litter picked on alternate days. Emergency equipment such
as Lifebelts are strategically located along the Esplanade in order to ensure
safety at any time of the year. The Inshore Rescue is also close at hand and
are allways on call by the Coastguard.
Cowes seafront is just yards from the town's shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, with easy level walking along the broad promenades and sea wall.
Since 1997 Cowes has not only been able to fly the Seaside Award Flag but has also been successful in displaying its Water Quality award.
