WightLink CakeWight in Bloom competition 2007

This year we are grateful to Wightlink Ferries for increasing their sponsorship support of this popular competition. With this assistance, each of the fourteen In Bloom steering groups were able to purchase plants enhance various public areas across the Island. The steering groups often attract considerable backing from individuals and businesses to help maintain these features, helping the funds to go even further.

There have been over 120 entries in 2007 and each one makes a contribution to our environment. In 2006 there was a shortage of water but in 2007 it's been very much the opposite. Entrants have risen to the challenge and once again done the Island proud - thank you!

The judge's comments regarding Mr Frampton's garden were as follows,

'Mr Frampton has entered Wight In Bloom over a number of years and has always presented his garden in tip top condition. This year was no exception with a stunning display. A lovely garden showing good use of a wide range of plants and colour, combined with extremely high maintenance standards. A real 'wow' garden that provides a feast for the eyes.'.
