PETTY & QUARTER SESSIONSPETTY SESSIONSIsle of Wight Petty Sessions
Newport Borough Petty Sessions
QUARTER SESSIONSThe Isle of Wight held its first Court of Quarter Sessions in 1952. Before that date details of Isle of Wight cases are found among the records of the Hampshire Record Office. Newport Borough, however, had been granted the right to hold a separate court in 1608 and continued to do so until 1835. Direct links are provided above to catalogues on the Access to Archives database. If you wish to search these catalogues, you will need to visit the A2A Home Page and use the search facilities.
