FINDING THE RECORD OFFICE

Travel

See Visiting the Isle of Wight for details of travelling to the island plus links to relevant Island bus routes. There are bus services linking Newport with Cowes (East & West), Ryde and Yarmouth. The Record Office is situated within 15 minutes' walking distance from the bus station in Newport. Some buses from Ryde and East Cowes stop along Fairlee Road/Staplers Road.

Car Parking

There is parking available at the Record Office, but the number of spaces is limited. Disabled drivers are advised to ring beforehand to reserve a space.

If all the spaces are taken, you can park nearby at the Quay (NB. access is closed on Tuesdays - market day). There are also several car parks within the town centre.
