| | Which Application Type? |
| Building Notice ApplicationA Building Notice should ideally only be used for minor building projects. When a Building Notice is submitted the full fee is payable on deposit and no further fee is required. |
| Full Plans ApplicationWhen depositing Full Plans the fee is divided into two payments. The first or “plan fee” is paid when the plans are deposited. This fee covers work carried out on checking the plans for conformity with the Regulations. The second or “inspection fee” is payable after the first inspection has been carried out (you will be invoiced separately with details of how and where to make your payment). It should be noted that whichever system is used, the total fee is the same. The Building Notice fee (paid on deposit) and the full plans inspection fee is a once-and-for-all payment irrespective of the number of occasions the Building Control Surveyor visits the site. |
| Regularisation ApplicationsA Regularisation Application may be submitted when the building owner wishes to regularise work which has been carried out over a year ago, and for which a ‘Building Notice’ or ‘Full Plans Application’ were not submitted prior to work commencing. The fee payable is based on 120% of the equivalent Building Notice fee. |
