PLANNING AID – ADVICE ON PLANNING MATTERS

The challenge that local communities face is how to navigate their way through the complexities of the planning system. At times they need independent advice and support.

In most cases the council provides all the information and advice local residents require on planning applications in general, and how to comment on them in particular.

Like many other local authorities the Isle of Wight Council is working with Planning Aid to do just this. Planning Aid provides free, independent and professional town planning advice and support to communities and individuals who cannot afford to pay fees to a planning consultant. It complements the work of local planning authorities, but is wholly independent of them.

Visit Planning Aid at www.planningaid.rtpi.org.uk or phone 0870 240 7552.
