DEVELOPMENT CONTROLThe aim of Development Control is to ensure that the pattern and nature of proposed development on the Island falls within policy’s set out in the Unitary Development Plan and follows Central Government legislation and guidance as set out in Planning Policy Guidance Statements. The section is supported by a comprehensive Administration Team with front-line enquiries being answered by the Customer Information Team. Development Control is the collective name for three main services:
