LOCAL VOICES - STATEMENT OF COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT (SCI)Changes to the new planning system are set out in the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, and one of the main features of these changes is to ensure that the community has as much say as possible in the planning process. The Isle of Wight Council needs to ensure that it has a good understanding of how stakeholders and the community on the Island think and feel about the future of the Island. We have set out our thoughts on how we can achieve this in the Local Voices - Statement of Community Involvement (SCI).
Local Voices (SCI) has now been adopted, following receipt of the Inspectors report in October 2005. The documents below are background papers, which we part of the submission documents, sent to the government.
