LICENSING SECTION

We deal with many different licences, permits, consents, registrations and requests for assistance from the public. Our services are shown in detail by clicking on the links at the left of this page.

We report to the Environmental Health Manager. Where appropriate, contested applications are put before the Licensing Determination Sub-Committee. Policy matters are put before the Licensing Committee.

Where the law permits we can deal with licensing matters ourselves after consultation (if necessary) with the public, Councillors and other council officers and public bodies who advise us.

You may visit us to talk about a specific matter but to be safe, telephone first just in case the officer you want is out of the building. Appointments can be made at any time – first just give us a ring.
