Part of Public Footpath BB10 on the Coastal Path in Bembridge has been closed due to a landslip. The closure is currently until July 2010, however this may be extended depending on works needed.
The closure is from the junction of Public Footpath BB10 and BB14 (GR SZ 6472 8690) to the junction of BB10 and BB14 at Forelands Fields Road (GR SZ 6535 8729). A diversion is available via Howgate Road.


Arreton
A part of Public Footpath will be closed from October 2009 to 26th April 2010 for reservoir works.
The path is closed from a point on Public Footpath A10 where it changes direction from north to east (GR SZ 5431 8613) to the junction of Footpath A10 and Bridleway A17. A diversion is available from Footpath A10 (GR SZ 5431 8613) continuing north to meet Bridleway A9, which then heads east to meet Bridleway A17.

Cowes and Gurnard
Public Footpath CS35 will be closed until November 2010
The collapse of the sea wall has made the path unsafe for public use.
The path is closed from The Luck Gurnard (GR4711 9538) to The junction with Public Bridleway CS36 (GR 4731 9549)

Luccombe
Public Footpath SS3 in Luccombe will be closed until 24th April 2010
Erosion and landslip has made the path unsafe for public use.
The path is closed from the junction with Public Footpath SS2 (GR 5801 7936) to the beach at (GR 5833 7927)
No diversion is currently available.

Niton
Series of paths NT47, NT49, NT50 & NT51 from GR 5042 7546 to GR 5160 7580
Landslip has caused sections of all of these paths to become unsafe for public use. Walkers using the coastal route should divert inland to continue.
These closures have been extended to November 2011
Public Footpath NT48 has been closed until June 2010

Public Footpath NT30 will be closed until December 2010
An unsafe wall adjacent to the path has made the route unsafe for public use.
The path is closed from Undercliff Drive (GR 5064 7596) to the junction with NT29 (GR 5066 7610).
A diversion is available via Undercliff Drive to Barrack Shute.

Ventnor
V124 from GR 5214 7615 to GR 5232 7586
This section suffered landslip when Undercliff Drive fell. Currently unsafe for public use.
This closure has been extended to November 2011

Public Footpath V90 at the Botanical Gardens will be closed until December 2010.
This closure is in the interest of public safety. There is a close by inland diversion.
The path is closed from GR 5455 7665 to GR 5482 7678

Public Footpath V102 closure in Wheelers Bay has been extended until 4th February 2010.
The path is closed from the western spur of Footpath V102 leading to Wheelers Bay, to Wheelers Bay Road. This closure is due to an unsafe retaining wall

Chale

Public Footpath C34 Whale Chine will be closed until at least November 2011
Land movement has made the path unsafe for public use.
The path is closed from the junction with Public Footpath SW30 (GR 4684 7825) to the beach (GR 4695 7849).
No diversion is available.

It has been necessary to close the Byways C32a, SW41 and SW56 until 31st March 2010. This closure is to protect the route surface during the winter period.

C32a and SW41 are closed from the junction of C32a and the main Chale Road (GR SZ 4980 8045) to the junction of Byway SW41 and Beckfield Cross (GR SZ 4816 8103)

SW56 is closed from the junction of Byway SW56 and the B3399 Kingston Road (GR SZ 4795 8131) and the junction of Byway SW56 and Atherfield Road (GR SZ 4568 8076)
