Public Footpath CS35 will be closed until at least November 2008
The collapse of the sea wall has made the path unsafe for public use.
The path is closed from The Luck Gurnard (GR4711 9538) to The junction with Public Bridleway CS36 (GR 4731 9549)

Public Footpath N59 in Carisbrooke will be closed until at least November 2008 (likely to be extended).
An unsafe wall adjacent to the path has made the path unsafe for public use.
The path is closed from the junction with Public Footpath N64 (GR 4866 8828) to
N60 (GR 4867 8835).
A diversion is available locally

Public Footpath N60 in Carisbrooke will be closed until 31st August 2009.
This path will only be closed when necessary during construction works.
The path will be closed from Wellington Road, Newport (GR 4488 8852) to Public Footpath N58 (GR 4487 8839)
A diversion will be available via Wellington Road and Public Footpath N58


Luccombe
Public Footpath SS3 in Luccombe will be closed until 24th October 2009.
Erosion and landslip has made the path unsafe for public use.
The path is closed from the junction with Public Footpath SS2 (GR 4580 7936) to the beach at (GR 4583 7927)
No diversion is currently available.

Series of paths NT47, NT48, NT49, NT50 & NT51 from GR 5042 7546 to GR 5160 7580
Landslip has caused sections of all of these paths to become unsafe for public use. Walkers using the coastal route should divert inland to continue.
These closures have been extended to November 2008

V124 from GR 5214 7615 to GR 5232 7586
This section suffered landslip when Undercliff Drive fell. Currently unsafe for public use.
This closure has been extended to November 2008

Public Footpath V90 at the Botanical Gardens will be closed until December 2009.
This closure is in the interest of public safety. There is a close by inland diversion.
The path is closed from GR 5455 7665 to GR 5482 7678

Public Footpath V102 in Wheelers Bay will be closed until Wednesday 1 July 2009.

The path is closed from the western spur of Footpath V102 leading to Wheelers Bay, to Wheelers Bay Road. This closure is due to an unsafe retaining wall

Public Footpath C34 Whale Chine will be closed until at least November 2008
Land movement has made the path unsafe for public use.
The path is closed from the junction with Public Footpath SW30 (GR 4684 7825) to the beach (GR 4695 7849).
No diversion is available.

Niton
Public Footpath NT30 will be closed until at least December.
An unsafe adjacent wall has made the path unsafe for public use.
The path is closed from Undercliff Drive (GR 5064 7596) to the junction with NT29 (GR 5066 7610).
A diversion is available via Undercliff Drive to Barrack Shute.

Newchurch
Public Footpath NC36 will be closed until at least November 2008.
Local excavation works require that the path be closed.
An adjacent diversion is available very close to the path.

Totland
Public Footpath T31 and T33 will be closed until 9th September 2009.
Landslip has made these paths unsafe for public use.
The paths are closed from the junction of Public Footpath T31 and T32 on the Esplanade (GR 4321 8688) to Cliff Road Totland (GR 4320 8654)
A diversion is available via Public Footpath T32 and Cliff Road.
