RAIL STUDIES
In 2001 the Council and the Strategic Rail Authority (SRA) commissioned two strategic rail reports:
- The Island Line Replacement Report considered the development of the existing Ryde to Shanklin line.
- The Rail Study examined options to extend the existing network to Newport, Ventnor and Cowes.
