General InformationWelcome to the general information section of the Isle of Wight Supporting People web pages. This section has been developed to keep you up to date with general information that has been posted to providers and providers are welcome to send in information that they would like to see in this section. Providers in order to devise a common Support Plan methodology. Please
find the five documents below which underpin this process. As with all
compromises, they will not exactly fit the needs of your organisation,
however, they will form a good basis for sound practice. The documents
are Contract and QAF compliant. Click on the links below for more infornation: Provider QuestionnaireClick here for the provider questionnaire that was distributed in March 2007 in order to find out their views about the Supporting People Team and to investigate how Supporting People on the Island could be improved. For the results of questionnaire please click here If there is further information that you would like to see added, please use our contact us form to let us know. Outcomes FrameworkA national Supporting People Outcome Framework has now been developed and the applying the framework for short term services commenced on 31st May 2007. The national roll out for long term services will take place in July 2007 and providers will be informed about the exact date. The new framework is based on the DfES ‘Every Child Matters’ 5 high level outcomes which are:
Under each of these outcomes are several specific Supporting People indicators. Providers of Supporting People short term services will be responsible for completing the outcome form only when a service user departs the service. The completed outcome form is then sent electronically to St Andrew University, who will analyse the data on a quarterly basis. This information will then be sent directly on to Administering Authorities and CLG, information from the analysis will also be made available to providers of service by publishing on the SPK-web and St Andrews website. For further information contact the SP Helpline on 020 7944 2556 or email supporting.people@communities.gsi.gov.uk or contact the SP outcomes team at St Andrew’s on:01334 467258 or email sphelp@st-andrews.ac.uk |
