Squash
The squash courts at The Heights are closed for Phase I of the refurbishment works (January to June 2012). The courts at Westridge in Ryde have extended opening hours during this time. Visit the Westridge page for more information on this. Westridge has seven courts, including two glass-backed, with spectator seating. Booking is recommended.
League games are played Thursday and Friday evenings at Westridge. To join ask at reception for more information.
If you’d like to start playing squash or are after tips to improve your game, there are lessons and coaching for all at Westridge.
Westridge Centre
Monday: 9am to 10pm (Squash only from 9pm to 10pm
Tuesday and Thursday: 7am to 9pm Tone Zone from 7am. First squash court at 7.20am) Wednesday and Friday : 9am to 9pm
Saturday: 9am to 1pm
Adult casual game: £3.30 per person
Junior casual game: £1.70 per person
Badminton
Badminton is a totally inclusive activity, whether you are young or old, disabled or non-disabled, and from whatever background. It’s easy to take up, fun to play and is an extremely social sport. It’s enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people in England each year – in 2008, badminton was recognised as the biggest participation racket sport in the country.
There are six badminton courts in the sports hall at Medina Leisure Centre. Coaching courses are also run for all ages and abilities – call the leisure centre for more information when courses are run. Advance booking is recommended.

Monday to Friday: 6am to 11pm
Saturday: 9am to 5pm
Sunday: 9am to 8pm
