Medina Leisure Centre in Newport is one of the Island's largest multi-purpose leisure facilities.
There are two swimming pools (one shallow), a Tone Zone gym, sports hall. Activities include lane and casual swimming, water workout classes, swimming lessons, fitness classes, and badminton, basketball and football in the sports hall.
The first phase of a major refurbishment project is due to begin in September 2012 and last until January 2013. During this time the pools, wet-side changing rooms and café will be closed. The pools at Medina will remain open until the Heights re-opens in autumn 2012.
The Heights Leisure Centre in Sandown, will be expanding its pool programme to accommodate additional casual swimming, aquafit and aquababe classes and some of our swimming lessons programme.

A temporary reception will be provided during this time and more details will be provided about this in due course. The first floor café will also be closed during this work.

Baby facilities
There are baby changing facilities, baby/toddler seats with support straps and playpens in both the male and female pool changing rooms.
Swim nappies and armbands are also on sale at reception.

When is it open? Seven days a week. For opening times, please phone for details. The centre is closed for certain days between Christmas and New Year, please phone for details.
Is there parking? There is a free public car park on site. Parking in the Arboretum car park is limited to five hours. There is also an overflow all-weather car park adjacent.
Which bus will get me there? Routes 5 and 9 stop right outside.
