Help Centre

The library now also accommodates Ryde Help Centre. Their staff may be contacted directly by telephone on 812678. Appointments may also be made on a drop-in basis. Please click here for contact details or here for further information on the website including surgery times and booking requirements.

Opening Hours
Please note that with effect from 2 July Ryde Library and Help Centre will be closed on Thursday each week. This follows the Council’s budget consultation on service priorities.

Toy Library
Please note that, following a review of all local authority services, Toy Library services are no longer provided through the library. Access to toys is planned to be made available through the Play Ranger schemes developing across the Island.

Age Concern

There are regular advice sessions held at the library. Please check for details.

Silver Surfers

If you are over 50 and want to learn how to use the Internet and e-mail, register for a free 2 hour Silver Surfer Session at Ryde Library. Please ask at the counter or telephone for further details.

Our featured author has a selection of their work collected and available to borrow, and any requests for further titles by this author from other Island libraries are free of charge. We welcome suggestions for future featured authors.

A convenient collection of the work of the current Bond.

Recipes

We need your recipes! Ryde Library is compiling a recipe book. Can you let us have your favourite recipes? We will display these and form a recipe book which we can share with others. All recipes will be appreciated but healthier, cheaper-to-make options will be especially welcome.

Doctor Who

A selection of fiction featuring everybody’s favourite Time Lord...unless you prefer the Master, or perhaps Rassilon... or ...does Omega count?

2009 Summer Reading Challenge

...Coming to Ryde Library 18 July.

Service Description: Children's and adults' books, large print books, talking books on tape, videos, DVDs, compact discs, reference collection, newspapers, photocopying, fax service, free internet access, free computer access. Ryde Library also has a gallery space for art exhibitions.
