COUNTRYSIDE

The Countryside Section of the Isle of Wight Council is involved in a wide range of activities from giving advice about wildlife to carrying out practical management, environmental education and co-ordinating the Wight Walks booklets. We are also responsible for the management of many countryside sites such as Fort Victoria and the Island’s Local Nature Reserves.

This site gives an introduction to the services provided by the Countryside Section and some of the projects with which it has close links. There is already a wealth of information here - and with some useful links we’ll show you the way to find out a lot more!
