TREES AND WOODLANDSTrees and woods are of particular landscape and conservation importance on the Isle of Wight both in the countryside and in urban areas. They have a number of special laws and regulations to protect them. The Isle of Wight Council has responsibilities for all protected trees throughout the Island. If you own trees, intend to work on a tree, or if you want to try to stop someone else felling a tree, you need to know what to do to ensure you don’t fall foul of the law. **NEW** See protected tree information on-line including searchable map **NEW** View the most recent TPOs |
