Notice of application for registration of land claimed to have become
a town or village green after 2 January 1970

LAND KNOWN AS, LAND AT THE GREEN, INCLUDING THE OBSERVATORY, STENBURY VIEW, WROXALL, ISLE OF WIGHT

To every reputed owner, lessee, tenant or occupier of any part of the land described below, and to all others whom it may concern.

Application has been made to the registration authority, the Isle of Wight Council, County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD by Miss V Starbuck, 34 Stenbury View, Wroxall, Isle of Wight, under Section 13 of the Commons Registration Act 1965 for the inclusion in the Register of Town or Village Greens of the land described below, which it is claimed became a town or village green on 15 April 2005 under and by virtue of use of the land by local residents for lawful sports and pastimes as of right for not less than 20 years.

Copies of the application, which includes a plan of the land proposed for registration and other documents (if any) submitted with it may be inspected from 14 April 2006 – 27 May 2006 at the Customer Services Centre, County Hall, Newport (Mon-Fri 8.00am - 6.00pm, Sat 9.00am -1.00pm) and also at Ventnor Library, High Street, Ventnor, (T,Th,F, 9.30-12.30, 1.30-5.00. Wed, 2.00-7.00. Sat, 9.30-12.30, 1.30-4.30).

If the registration authority is satisfied that the land described below has become a town or village green as claimed, it will so register the land, and such registration will be conclusive evidence of the status of the land as at the date of registration.

Any person wishing to object to the registration of the land as a town or village green should send a written and signed statement of the facts on which he bases his objection to the Tree Team, Council Offices, Seaclose, Fairlee Road, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 2QS, so as to arrive not later than 27 May 2006

Land at The Green, including The Observatory, Stenbury View, Wroxall, Isle of Wight having an overall area of 0.09 hectares (0.21 acres) or thereabouts.
