ISLAND GAMES – ALAND 2009

The 2009 Island Games officially got underway on Saturday 27 June. The Games being held in Aland promised to be a successful one for the Isle of Wight Team with strong hopes for plenty of medals!

The Isle of Wight team comprised of 150 competitors. The team, made up of 9 different sports teams, including athletes, swimmers, shooters, footballers, sailors, golfers, tennis, table tennis and badminton players.
