Isle of Wight Walking

Walking on the Isle of Wight

Isle of Wight Walking Festival 2006

Did you know that every May the Isle of Wight hosts the UK’s largest walking festival?

The Island has over 500 miles of well-maintained and signposted footpaths, around 30 miles of Heritage Coastline while more than half the Island is recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Add to this, good quality accommodation and the fine Spring weather, and it’s easy to see
why walking is so popular on this holiday isle.

Now in its Eight year, the walking festival includes over 100 guided walks which are tailored to suit all ages and abilities from seasoned ramblers to leisurely strollers.

The Isle of Wight Walking Festival will be held from 6th-21st May 2006.
