Black Kerbside Box
You will be provided with a black box for the recycling of the following items:
  • Newspapers and stapled magazines
  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Textiles (including shoes, bags, belts)

W-Recycling-Blackbox01
The Black Box is collected by a purpose built collection vehicle. Operatives sort the contents of your box at the kerbside into separate compartments in the vehicle. Island Waste currently have 3 of these vehicles servicing the Island.

The collection of the black box is fortnightly, on the same day as your normal refuse collection. The box must be placed on the kerbside by 7am on the morning of collection. Check your collection day and recycling week.

Please do not include cardboard, junk mail, catalogues, glass cook wear or drinking glasses.
