Residents’ Survey 2008

Each year the IW Council conducts a survey of residents.

The aim of the survey is to find out what Islanders think of the council and the services it provides. The survey also seeks information on how people view living on the Island.

The results help the IW Council identify spending priorities – in other words in which areas residents wish to see their council tax spent.

You can access the full report on this years survey – the third undertaken by the IW Council – on the link below. There is also a link to a press release issued to local media that highlights the main issues identified by this year’s study.

Two key findings are that satisfaction with the IW Council has grown again, this year by nine percentage points, and that the vast majority of residents enjoy living on the Isle of Wight.
