Isle of Wight Council and Parish and Town Council Elections - 4 May 2017

The Local Elections that will be held on Thursday 4th May 2017 will see Islanders going to the polls to elect their local representatives for both the Isle of Wight Council and Parish and Town Councils.

Electors

If you have returned your registration form then your name should be on our Register.  You can check your entry if you wish by visiting County Hall, Newport, or by contacting us on the telephone number in the 'Contact' tab above.

The last date to register as an elector and be able to vote in these elections is Thursday 13 April 2017.  For more information, please click here.

Postal Votes: The last date to apply for a postal vote for these elections is 5:00pm on Tuesday 18 April 2017.  For more information, please click here.

Proxy Votes: The last date to apply for a proxy vote for these elections is 5:00pm on Tuesday 25 April 2017.  Fore more information, please click here.

Candidates

Candidates and Agents Information Sessions: The Returning Officer will be holding information sessions for Candidates and Agents on Friday 10 March and Thursday 6 April 2017.   Full details are available by clicking here (PDF, 17.79KB, 2 pages).

In both cases, please complete the Nomination Paper and Consent to Nomination in full, and note that the completed forms must be delivered by hand to the Returning Officer at the Civic Centre, Broadway, Sandown, PO36 9EA by 4.00pm on Tuesday 4 April 2017.

It is recommended that you read the guidance from The Electoral Commission before completing your nomination forms.
