Children and Young People’s Plan

Residents were asked to give their views on a document called the Children and Young People’s Plan (CYPP) 2014-2017. This plan aims to improve the lives of children, young people and their families, and builds on the work currently underway to improve services for children and young people on the Island. The plan includes ways to improve lifestyle choices, obesity, poverty and domestic abuse. To view the plan please click here. (PDF, 1.07MB, 50 pages).

The Children’s Trust produced an action plan for 2014-15.  This sets what outcomes and actions are required to make progress in the priority areas of the 2014-2017 Children and Young People’s Plan.  The intended outcomes and the evidence required to show how the Children’s Trust is making a difference directly link to the Public Health Annual Report for 2013 and the current Health and Wellbeing Strategy (2013-2016).

Progress will be monitored by the Children’s Trust Board and an annual report prepared for presentation to the Health and Wellbeing Board.  This will inform the 3-year refresh of the assessment of need which will in turn influence the next 3 year Children and Young People’s Plan.  To view the action plan please click here (PDF, 1 page, 145kb).
