News and Events

This is a new page and one we feel is important to let you know what is going on both on the Isle of Wight and beyond. It will keep you up to date on what has been happening and hopefully you will realise that what you say can make a difference!

The new version of the RAP Newsletter is now available, to view this please click here (PDF, 2Mb, 4 pages).

Your Story

We would love to hear your story of your journey through life and the positive outcomes that you have achieved and how far you have come. Your story could inspire other young people to be and do better and could show them how anyone can overcome anything. If you would like to help with this then go to the contacts tab above to get in touch with Steve.

Come Dine with Us

On the 14th of March 2017 we will be hosting our first ever ‘Come Dine With Us’ event.

We would like to invite you to join us in making a meal together followed by eating it (only if you wish to).  Invite your worker and managers may join us too!

The suggestion for our first meal is a delicious cottage pie, if you are interested in taking part then please contact Steve for more information or to book your place. We would also be happy to look at alternative meals based on dietary requirements. Go to the contacts tab above to get in touch with Steve.

All Party Parliament Group (APPG) by Lizzie - Youth Communications Advisor

The Government want to know about the issues people have related to being in care so the All Party Parliament Group (APPG) was set up to help.

George, Steve and myself went to London, for me it was my first time ever in London and it was an amazing experience, I loved it.

I got to go to the Imperial War Museum and there just wasn’t enough time to even see 2 floors!  We had to leave after 2 and a half hours. After that we walked around London past the river Thames, Big Ben and the beautiful bits of London, me and George took lots of selfies!  We all had a lovely meal at Frankie’s and Bennies, afterwards we rushed to Buckingham palace just to get a quick look!  We then headed to the houses of Parliament for our meeting.  Thanks to APPG I not only got to get my points across to the bigger people in the country but I got to have a very lovely day and brand new experiences to go along with it!

A big thank you to Steve for organising all of our travel and activities and for supporting us both along the way!
