Shared Lives is the provision of support or accommodation in an ordinary family home for someone whose quality of life can be enhanced through living in a supportive environment. Shared Lives Carers can offer accommodation in their own home to a maximum of three individuals who have been referred and assessed by a social care team.

Shared Lives refers to a family based accommodation for vulnerable adults (“service users”) with any of the following:

  • Learning disabilities.
  • Mental health difficulties.
  • Sensory impairment.
  • Vulnerable Adults aged over 60 - Please note this depends on a persons Mobility.
